[ While that isn't a lie, Kaoru doesn't spend his time waiting by sitting around. He continues to go through the motions of closing up his shop, dimming the front lights, and turning the sign on the door to turn potential customers away with an elegantly scrolled "closed." This isn't entirely true, however, because he makes sure to keep the door unlocked. Beyond the main room of the shop, he sets to preparing a pot of tea for them to enjoy—half to be a courteous host, and half to help himself relax after a long day. He literally lets his hair down to fall unhindered down his back, glasses set aside neatly on the table in front of him. He doesn't think he'll be waiting long, but he hopes that the tea won't be cold by the time Minato arrives; for that, Kaoru may not be so sweet to him. ]

[ As promised, he didn't take long to get there, though it might annoy Kaoru to hear that the reason he got there so quickly was because he took his motorcycle. Absolutely the quickest method, but what would people think to see a motorcycle parked right outside his shop??

He parks it and gives the front door to the shop a couple knocks before rudely entering. ]

[ Hearing the familiar rev of an engine doesn't do much to bother him as he owns a motorcycle himself, but he does feel a tick in his pulse at the thought of neighbors murmuring about the visitor. Noise draws attention on such a small street, but then again, Kaoru isn't necessarily a hermit. As long as there is no concrete connection drawn between him and 'S' there is little else he cares about—and he's grown skilled at lying to cover up the strange acquaintances he's made throughout life. ]

Please lock the door before coming back. [ He pours them both a mug of tea as he waits and opens a tin of cookies for his guest. ]

[ He calls back with a huff, but obviously didn't mind, because if he did he wouldn't be locking up right now as he asked. After locking up, he sits on the floor by the door, tugging off his boots to leave them to the side before wandering through to get to Kaoru. ]
