[ While that isn't a lie, Kaoru doesn't spend his time waiting by sitting around. He continues to go through the motions of closing up his shop, dimming the front lights, and turning the sign on the door to turn potential customers away with an elegantly scrolled "closed." This isn't entirely true, however, because he makes sure to keep the door unlocked. Beyond the main room of the shop, he sets to preparing a pot of tea for them to enjoy—half to be a courteous host, and half to help himself relax after a long day. [ Hearing the familiar rev of an engine doesn't do much to bother him as he owns a motorcycle himself, but he does feel a tick in his pulse at the thought of neighbors murmuring about the visitor. Noise draws attention on such a small street, but then again, Kaoru isn't necessarily a hermit. As long as there is no concrete connection drawn between him and 'S' there is little else he cares about—and he's grown skilled at lying to cover up the strange acquaintances he's made throughout life. ]

[ He calls back with a huff, but obviously didn't mind, because if he did he wouldn't be locking up right now as he asked. After locking up, he sits on the floor by the door, tugging off his boots to leave them to the side before wandering through to get to Kaoru. ]

[ Kaoru smiles as he comes through, pleased that he can be reasonable with requests even if he may act put-upon by them. Gesturing to the spot across the table, Kaoru slides a cup of tea over towards him. He sips his own as he waits for him to settle, curious how he’ll respond to the hospitality. ]

[ He may be a big brat, but at the very least his older brother taught him manners. He wasn't going to go trampling around Kaoru's place and causing a scene on purpose anyway. He noticed the table and the cup, feeling a tiny bit of heat rise to his face as he slowly moved to bend down to the table. ]

[ Though he thinks he sees a bit of flush to his face, Kaoru doesn't comment despite smirking against the rim of his cup. He doesn't try to hide the fact that he's watching his guest, however, golden eyes sharp as they trace his body up and down and follow his movements. ]
